Call for nominations: STC (Australia Chapter) Student Prize

The Society for Technical Communication (Australia Chapter) (STC) is now calling for entries in its annual student competition for technical communication. We invite you to nominate students for this award of $250 prize money + an award certificate.

The STC Prize is awarded annually to students in Australia studying technical communication. The Prize is awarded by a judging panel chosen from the STC Executive. The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered in to. All nominated students will receive a nomination certificate.

Nomination requirements

Nomination is open to all students studying technical communication in Australia (technical communication may be one aspect of the total program of study).

How to nominate

Submit a copy of your academic transcript (showing the results for units studied to date) and one piece of technical writing that has been submitted for assessment as part of your course. Nominations are made to the STC Executive through your Course Coordinator. Each Course Coordinator can nominate up to THREE students currently enrolled in technical communication.

  • Announcement of prize: August 2006

Information for Course Coordinators

We invite you to nominate appropriate undergraduate students for this award. You can nominate up to THREE students from your institution for the prize.

Each nomination should include:

  • a copy of the student's academic transcript for units already completed, and
  • an example of the student's written work (such as a technical piece written for assessment).
