Links: Technical Communication
Being a member of the STC-AUS organisation certainly does not preclude our participation in other useful groups. So, we thought we'd put a spot here for sharing those organisations and associations that some of us belong to or know of in order to encourage additional networking activities across these organisations.
These links are provided to put you in touch with some of the organisational websites that function as discussion lists, mailing lists, forums, and bulletin boards. Check out these areas of the Internet as well for more ways to connect up within the TechComm community.
A number of strong programmes within, and related to, our activities are available for further investigation. By all means, submit your alma maters to be posted here as well. Some of these quality high programmes could be exactly what you, or someone else, are looking for. So by all means...share.
In a closely related field, the Society of Editors is a large and active network. These links provide more than just contact with other groups. There are hints, tips, articles, contest notices, and so much more.
Links: Reference Websites
Although this is only a smattering of reference materials that can be found online, it is a start. Dictionaries, thesauri, glossaries, and acronym look-ups; all here to help you find just the right words.
Some of the websites in this section are places that you can just hang out in and get lost for a while, adding to your grammar knowledge, interacting and tracking interactions with others on a number of fun pursuits.
Links: Blogs
This section is reserved for those, and those places, that we know, love, and just love to hang out with. Please feel free to contribute more to this listing and share your favourite "I know that person!" blogs with us here.
